USS George Washington Arrival and Crew Community Service Projects

USS George Washington, an aircraft carrier with the U.S. Navy's 7th Fleet, arrive in Manila Bay on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 for a four-day goodwill visit that highlights the strong historic, community, and military connections between the United States and the Republic of the Philippines. During the visit, the talented crew of the USS George Washington participated in a number of events in Metro Manila.

Commanded by Capt. David Lausman, USS George Washington's crew conduct many community-service projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region on a regular basis, as a show of goodwill and partnership from the U.S. Navy.
